Founder & Designer, Aarabhi Sivaraman
Hey there! I'm Aarabhi Sivaraman and I'm the founder and designer behind Aarabhi London & Kōr by Aarabhi. Maybe it's the fact that my grandmother was a seamstress, my obsession with pop culture or creative mindset, but I knew from an early age that fashion design was for me.
My goal was to create a womenswear brand with ethical manufacturing as a core value and to highlight the work of dedicated artisans. So, after completing a BA(Hons) in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni I started Aarabhi London in 2017 along with my father. We are a very small, family business based in Wimbledon, London.
I ultimately wanted to start my own womenswear brand because a lot of ethical clothing that I found was either bland or out of my price range. Using my South Asian roots and British upbringing, I have approached design by combining the two, creating unique and intricate garments. I don't believe in clothes lasting a season, so when I design I keep this in mind and try to create pieces which can be worn for a range of occasions.
